How Do Ben Wa Balls Work

WHAT IS INCONTINENCE AND KEGEL EXERCISES?

Urinary and fecal incontinence are two of the major problems that are associated with both, men and women. When the ability of a person to control their urinary and stool flow is weakened, they face the prospect of leakage. The weaker the ability, the more involuntary outflow of urine and stool is witnessed. There is no certain age for this problem to begin. It can become a major cause of concern at a young or/and old age.

There are several reasons for urinary and fecal incontinence such as urinary tract infection, nerve damage in the rectum, constipation, anal sex, childbirth, inappropriate sexual intercourse, enlarged prostate and neurological disorder. Once the problem has initiated in women or men then anything from laughing to playing sports, coughing, sneezing, farting, etc. can cause the urine or stool to come out. This means that any due or undue pressure being exerted on the lower body can result in the leakage.

In order to treat this problem, there is medication and surgeries. Both are common and both have proven positive results. Doctors and physicians recommend the use of medication and/or surgeries to rectify this problem as incontinence of any kind can be a source of embarrassment as well. But, the only issue with medication and surgeries is that both are expensive and have severe side effects. Side effects include headaches, stomachache, erectile dysfunction, etc. While, there are many treatments in the medical world for incontinences, the safest and the most natural way is Kegel exercises.

THE PROCEDURE OF KEGEL EXERCISES

There are two ways of performing the Kegel exercises. One is with Ben Wa Balls and the other is without. We will cover the latter first. The performing of Kegel exercises without Ben Wa Balls include two procedures of contraction and relaxation. First, the performer of the Kegel exercise has to locate the pelvic floor muscles of their body. Once the muscles are located then the two procedures can start. In the contraction one, the performer would have to hold the pelvic floor muscles and contract it for at least 5 seconds. Then release the same for 5 seconds. The 10-second process has to be repeated at least 10-15 times, this would complete one set. This set has to be performed 2 to 3 times a day. The number of seconds can be increased with time as the ability to hold the urge to urinate or pass the stool becomes stronger. It can be increased from 5 to 7 seconds with time.

The second way of completing Kegel exercises involves the use of Ben Wa Balls. The first and the most common question asked by the public is how do Ben Wa Balls work or what do Ben Wa Balls do'? The Ben Wa Balls is a string that has at least 2 to 3 three balls attached to it after every interval. The top most ball is used by covering it with a condom. Once the condom is placed on the ball, it is then inserted inside. For women, they can place it inside their vagina or anus and for men, it is only for their anus. Once the ball is inserted, then the same process of contraction and relaxation is used. The performer has to contract the Ben Wa Balls and shake it slightly. It should be done for 3-5 seconds before the relaxation begins. But, one thing to note is that the relaxation should not result in the dropping of the balls. In order to answer the question of do Ben Wa Ball work, it is essential to start with lighter weight balls. And with time when the ability to control urine and stool becomes stronger, the advanced or professional performer can increase the weight of the balls.
